The Tennessee Craft Plateau Chapter celebrates local craft with locally brewed beer at Hix Farm Brewery in Cookeville, TN. We are excited to partner with the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Cooke County Sheriff's Office for the 30th annual FREE Fishing Derby.

The Art Prowl Welcome Center, which offers art, music, food and a variety of arts and crafts products, is the first of its kind in Cookeville, TN. Art lovers will appreciate the Craft Overview and explore the artists "works in downtown CookeVILLE, while art lovers can explore the music of local artists Beat the Beats and Nashville Symphony Orchestra. The Tennessee Craft Plateau Chapter's first annual craft beer festival features local craft beer from Hix Farm Brewery and other local breweries.

The Chapter welcomes artists from the following counties to participate in its annual craft beer festival in Cookeville, TN. The scenic views of the Tennessee River and its glittering lakes attract outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore the best small towns in eastern Tennessee. Connections to Nashville, Nashville and the rest of the Tennessee arts and culture scene are accessible from and around CookeVILLE.

Cookeville Regional Medical Center provides state of the heart care and is the number one cardiac care provider in Tennessee for heart disease, stroke and stroke prevention. For those who are looking for a lifestyle and for those who are inspired by art, Cookeville has a wide selection of restaurants, bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment.

In addition to Tennessee Tech, Cookeville is home to a number of Christian colleges affiliated with the churches of Christ. It is also named after one of the largest churches in the state of Tennessee, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On Saturday, July 20, 2019, children ages 5 to 16 can participate in a free fishing derby in the Cookeville River from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tennessee Senior Olympics will be held July 22 and 23 at Tennessee State Fairgrounds. This event is supported by Tennessee Tech, the University of Tennessee and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Cookeville is located on the Highland Rim and is one of the largest cities in the USA with a population of more than 1,000. Chattanooga is home to the University of Tennessee, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State University. Interstate 40 (I-40) is supported by funding from the Tennessee Department of Natural Resources, the state transportation agency. It crosses the entire state of Tennessee and runs along the Mississippi and the Arkansas borders and is located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Interstate 70 in Cooke County.

That may sound like a lot, maybe not compared to Nashville, but you will feel right at home. If art and culture are important to you, you'll find plenty of them in Cookeville and throughout the city.

The Craft Center offers a nationally recognized bachelor's degree and a degree in arts and crafts, as well as a number of other programs. The newly renovated Cookeville Performing Arts Center attracts a large crowd of local and national artists, musicians and performers. It has had a great year with its new performance space and offers a variety of events such as concerts, art shows, dance classes, workshops, concerts and more.

The Summer High School Art Intensive allows high school teachers to select two of their students to accompany them on their summer art program. The Focus Fine Craft program is open to all and describes it as a "four-week intensive program for students in grades 6 to 12 with fine arts and crafts.

Tennessee Craft Plateau is hosting a virtual studio tour with Plateaus and Chapter members for all of our members in spring 2020.

By drawing attention to many craft events in such a short time, we can shed light on the collective impact that craft has had on our state in Tennessee. We also discussed the promotion of the up-and-coming tent at the Tennessee Craft Fair (give it a try!) and the upcoming artists and artists - will be.
